Facing The Giants

When my parents were down last month, they brought the DVD of “Facing The Giants” with them. I never had time to see it when it was in the theater. Tonight, we had family night. This means I cranked out some seriously gringo tacos, finished it off with some ice cream, and then we all sat down (all six of us on the same couch) and put in the movie.

This film had an awesome message and had me worked up more than 10 Hallmark commercials. It was great to see my two older kids well up with emotion as the on-screen characters found the strength that only God could give. We ended the night by talking about what giants we faced and how our great big God was so much more than any of them. Overall, a great night in the Hollifield house.

very cool

That’s nice that you can have family night with your family. I have not seen the movie, but a book that really helped me, and maybe on the same subject was “Facing Your Giants” by Max Lucado. Good reading.
